Jetsetter #1: My Flight Essentials

Hello and Happy New Year!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, life had been really crazy since the last I posted here.... Over the past few months, I have relocated to another country for work. It's pretty hard to imagine how I had moved 3 countries, 2 continents in less than 6 months, ahh well, I guess this would pretty much explains my inactiveness here.

Since I've been flying almost every month, I thought it would be appropriate to share my essentials when traveling on a long haul/red-eye flight. On such flights, I tend to not wear any makeup and just stick to my normal skincare. In case of a red-eye flight, my essential add-on to the skincare routine will be the Laneige Sleeping Mask since the air on the flight is always dry.

For my in-flight essentials, I always ensure to bring along a facial cleanser, essence/serum & moisturiser. In case you are wondering the reason, I bring them along mainly for freshen up after the long haul flight. Especially for those times when I am due to meet up with someone from work right at landing, it is vital for me to look fresh and awake, rather than looking exhausted. My current favorites are the Caudalie Cleansing Water, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum and Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet

I would usually end my freshen up routine with skincare, and opt for bare faced if I'm not due to meet anyone from work right after. However, for those time that I have to, powder, mascara, lip balm and lipstick are my must have that I carry around in my flight makeup bag .

I am currently loving the MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural, L'Oreal Curl Impact Collagene, Maybelline Baby Lips and MAC Modesty. A small tip here to reduce the items that you're carrying is to double lipstick as a cream blush to add some liveliness to the cheeks. Tools wise, some facial cottons, a comb and a multitask retractable brush are things that I always carry along.

What are your flight essentials?

xx

  1. I've heard good things about Caudalie but never take the dive with this brand! SK-2 is really expensive but should be the most potent 'miracle water' on the market ;D great picks!

  2. My essentials are almost the same as yours :D I love multi tasking things, like using a lipstick for a cream blush. Really lightens the load :D
