Decluttering My Makeup

To tell you the honest trust, I've been dreading to declutter my makeup collection for the longest time. But since I've been on a kick with streamlining my living area as a whole (hello to 2015 goals), my makeup and beauty collection are areas that I simply could not go on ignoring given that they actually takes up quite abit of space in my life.

And after few hours of my hard work, here are things that I am letting go from my collection.

Thought I would drop in to share some of the products that I've been using over the past week in my makeup routine. Since it was the Chinese New Year festive season, I was able to enjoy some time off from work which translate to being more adventurous in my makeup routine.

What I Bought in the End

During my most recent stay Malaysia, I finally got my hands on the Revlon Lip Butters. Priced at RM25, I was surprised how much cheaper this line is in Malaysia as compared to Singapore (retail selling price of Revlon Lip Butters in Singapore is SG$15.90, in case you're wondering).

After much thought, I decided to get Peach Parfait and Macaroon in the end.

I chose them as they are the daily wearable colors which I gravitate towards. Among the two that I picked, I definitely prefer Peach Parfait over Macaroon. Like what many have raved, it is a really pretty color which is suitable for all ages and almost all occasions. However, I did notice that Macaroon offers a better and smoother texture compared to Peach Parfait.

If you are looking for a drugstore lipstick that has a more creamy texture, I definitely recommend this product. But do note that this is not long lasting at all.

Swatches: Revlon Lip Butters in Singapore

Finally, our local L'Oreal and Revlon have stepped up their game. Recent launches in Singapore and Malaysia have showed that we are finally more aligned with the new launches in the US. While I was shopping at BHG Bugis, I came across the Revlon Lip Butters and can't help but to do some major swatching.

The local launch only comprises of 8 shades, quite a let down from the 20 shades available in the US if you ask me. I was pretty sad that Red Velvet is not available here. However, among all the shades, I definitely see a few that I will be getting during my holiday trip to Malaysia due to the cheaper price RM30.90, or so i heard.

If you are interested, Revlon Lip Butters are retailed at SG$15.90 and can be found at selected Watsons outlet in Singapore.
