My Week in Makeup #4

This week in makeup.

To start off my routine, I’ve been using the Tarte Clean State Poreless Primer as a base to ensure that my foundation adheres better and lasts longer throughout the day. Comparing it to my previous MUFE HD Primer, the texture of this primer is more “silicone” like and works pretty well in blurring the pores on my skin, creating a smooth canvas before my foundation goes on.

My foundation of choice for the week is NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Ceylan. I wasn’t a big fan of the foundation initially but after trying out the application with Real Techniques Stippling Brush, I’ve been really enjoying the coverage and the slightly dewy finish that it gives. I also find that a single pump of the foundation works best in giving me the desirable finish and moderate coverage.  To finish off any uncovered spots, my usual MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC 30 works wonders.

For eyes and brows, I stuck to my usual routine - Urban Decay Primer Potion, InglotCosmetics Eyeshadows and ELF Brow Kit. This is the combo which takes less than 5 mins for me to complete and lasts long throughout the day. A new addition to my eye routine is the Maybelline Illegal Length Fiber Extension Mascara.

I decided to skip blush all together for the week and finished off my routine with Guerlain Meteorites Perles in Teint Rose as an overall face power. This powder illuminates my skin instantly, giving an overall soft glowy appearance. I must say that I am both impressed and in love with this new addition in my collection.

To finish off the look, I went with the lip combo of Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm and Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy. The former provides the moisture that I’ve been lacking the entire week while Boy gives the “my lips but better” sort of look which is perfect for corporate.

What’s in your makeup routine this week?

xx
