Review: Biotherm White D-Tox Corrective Make Up Base

Here's a review of my all time favorite makeup base which I have featured on my February Favorites post. As I've mentioned, this is probably my third/fourth bottle now and I must say that I am very impressed with it.

As it is a corrective makeup base, this product comes in various shades (purple, pink, green, blue and white) with functions ranging from correcting redness, yellow tones to whitening. I bought this way earlier and I believe that the packaging have since changed. The one which I own is the pink one with instant lightening effect and this happens to be the main reason that I love the product so much.

The Makeup Base
Without Biotherm Makeup Base (my Right hand)
With Biotherm Makeup base on my left hand

What I like:
-Instantly brightens my dull skin & corrects my skintone (yellow) to more rosy tone
-SPF 25++
-Provides a smooth canvas for my powder/foundation to go on well
-My foundation/powder/bb cream last longer
-The consistency (it's a thicker cream like consistency, easy to spread out & work with)

What I dislike:
-Price (It is rather pricey)
-The Scent, it's not an annoying/disgusting scent but I just prefer products that are scentless
Sometimes when I'm lazy/don't feel like putting on foundation, I would just apply this makeup base and the MAC MSFN and my skin will still glow and look really nice. So far, I really got nothing to complain about this makeup base since it has work really well for me over the past years. However due to the rather high price tag, I would definitely "JUMP SHIP" if an equivalently good and less expensive product can be found.

Overall Rating: 4.0/5.0
