NARS has always been one of my favorite go-to brands when I think about blushes. Not only that the colors are pretty, most of the blushes are pigmented, true to its pan color and comes with a soft and velvety texture. Aside that, I also enjoy the small and compact packaging of all NARS blushes, and the fact that they come with a small mirror which is very useful for travels.
The new blush from NARS that I'm trying out at the moment is Luster. Described as a 'sheer golden apricot', NARS Luster is a warm apricot/tangerine shade with golden shimmers. Some may describe this as a peachy color, however, as compared to MAC Peaches (true peach), Luster's undertone is more akin to orange than the slightly pinkish MAC Peaches.
The shimmers within NARS Luster comes off as a pretty sheen than straight up shimmers, giving the cheeks a perfect glow. With a bit of tan on my skin at the moment due to all the island hopping I've been doing, NARS Luster is quickly becoming my go-to blush this season. Whilst the color payoff can be quite sheer on the first swatch, I like that Luster can be built up into its pan color without looking cakey or overdone. As compared to the brighter colors, this is also a color that is appropriate for work. Lasting power wise, the blush pretty much lasted for a minimal of 7 hours for me at work.
