This week in makeup,
I pulled out my barely used NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Ceylan which I've gotten from a haul long time back. As far as how rarely I feature/mention about this on my blog, you could pretty much guess that I'm not a big fan of this much coveted foundation. The consistency of foundation is rather thick and a good brush or some warm fingers definitely come into play when working with it. It has a medium to full coverage and lasts for about a full work day on my face. However, the one thing which I really dislike about the foundation is that it comes with a rather funny scent which I have found quite hard to get used to.
My face and eye primer of the week are the MUFE HD Primer and Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer. Both are oldies but goodies in my collection and I pretty much stick with the same face primer all the time. As for the eye shadow primer, it is often a toss between my trustee MAC Paint Pots or the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer. However, on days when I'm feeling adventurous, I do go with the Maybelline Color Tattoos as my base color.
Stila Eye Shadow Quad in Marrakesh is the eye palette of choice for my week. I've been enjoying the gold shimmery color as an all over lid color. I find that this not only adds up the glam on my eyes yet at the same time, extremely appropriate for work. For my inner corners, I go with the lighter shimmery pink as a perk me up. The deep plum color has become my liner of choice for the week. I apply this wet with some MAC Fix+ and it works amazing with my dark brown eyes. I've even gotten a compliment from it at work.
I've been loving NARS Luster lately. It's one of those gorgeous warm apricot shade with golden shimmers that can never go wrong with my skin tone. Whilst this season definitely speaks for the deeper, plummy kinda shades, a switch up for summery shades livens up my mood and reminds me of my summer holidays - guess that would also mean a small getaway is much needed for me now, eh?
The lip combo of choice for my week is MAC Modesty and Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Velvet. Love this nude combo that gives my lips the "my lips but better" sorta effect. Not to mention, they're perfect for a corporate environment as well.
The rest of my makeup is pretty much the same staples consisting of Maybelline Rocket Volum' Express Mascara, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light, ELF Eye Brow Kit in Dark, and my ELF Lash & Brow Clear Mascara.
What are your go to makeup products for the week?
xx
That Stila eyeshadow quad looks gorgeous! Perfect colors for fall!
