Swatches: MAC Lickable.

Just to share some swatches of my recent purchase.

The swatch look slightly red. But this is actually a bright fuchsia color, great for parties and gloomy days.

I absolutely adore the creamesheen and amplified creme lipsticks from MAC. I know I said this for so many times but so far, aside from YSL (which is priced at a crazy price), MAC is the only lipstick brand that did not accentuate the fine lines and dryness of my lips.

Whilst I'm always on the search for the affordable and great lipstick, I think I will be sticking with MAC's lippies for some time.

What's your favorite lipstick brand?

NOTW: Essie Exotic Liras

My first Essie nail polish. As much as I like the color, I think China Glaze is still my all time favorite.

What's on your nails this week?

I love u, Pans!

Finally I've hit pan on some of the products in my collection!

1. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Light).

I love love love this product! In fact, I love it so much that I will be buying a new one. My current color is in light. However this color seems too light for me. I don't understand because most MU assistant always match my color wrongly. Arghhhh...I can never seem to find my perfect shade of foundation/powder. Probably I should b getting the medium one? hmm...

2. ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder.

The part which I really like is the bronzer in this duo. I'm not too much of a fan of the blush in this palette mainly cos ELF blushes can be slightly cakey at times. ~Not too good when I'm always wearing makeup for work all day.~ Looking at the fact that I really wanna branch into more brands, I will not be purchasing another one.

3. ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder (Luminance).

I have been using this powder as my highlight for the longest time. It has lasted me since last Aug or so. Amazing right? I dab a lil on my cheekbones, nose bridge, forehead and cupid's bow for the definition. It works really well especially if you are looking for a cheaper option. For $1, really, u can't go wrong with it. I will not be repurchasing this though since I just added some new products into my collection and really wanna try them.

4. Missha Perfect Concealer (Light).

Perfect? Or not? I think the latter would be the best to describe this product. This concealer is cakey, unnatural, smells weird and really...just everything I hate about in a product. I will not recommend anyone to get this. Though product is really long lasting (as u can see, there is still quite alot of products despite me using it for more than a year), I think it will be better to invest in a good quality concealer at a higher price.

I'm really really excited! Can't wait to finish all this products soon. This means more space for new make up..soon...very soon! I can't wait!!!

Anyway, here's the nail polish I've been wanting to show since I bought it. I love the color and personally felt that the color kinda makes my fingers look longer.

Swatches: Addicted to MAC lipsticks

Remember how I mentioned that I regretted getting the lipglass from MAC in my previous post? Well this is weird because on the other end of the spectrum, I am totally in love with MAC lipsticks!!

I thought I should show you swatches of some of my latest addiction. =)

Modesty was my very first MAC lipstick (Love the name!). I bought it because I was on the hunt for a more wearable everyday lipstick (it's always tough for me to get a lipstick that I'm not allergic to) and I just stumbled upon it while I was browsing around the MAC store. The MU assistant was very professional and immediately took notice of my rather dry/chapped lips. He recommended cremesheen as it has a more creamy finish.

I was quite doubtful still when I got home on whether I would have allergies to it due to my previous horrific experience with the lipglass. But after trying it out for a week or so, I totally fell in love with it. Now I realized why everyone has been raving about MAC's lipsticks. It is AWESOME! And the end result? I went back to the store to get more. LOL...

Some swatches...

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick - Cosmo

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick - Modesty

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick - Chatterbox

I'm seriously considering getting all the colors from the amplified creme and cremesheen line (Oh and btw, Cosmo and Modesty kinda looked the same on my very very pigmented lips). It's amazing how it doesn't show any of my fine lines and just covers them all up. OMG! I've always been very conscious about my dry/chapped lips but finally I have found one lipstick that doesn't enhance it. Well, the YSL rouge volupte does the same but the price is just insane.

So, what is your favorite lipstick?

Products I Regret Buying

As much as I'm addicted to make up, I realized that I've never really bought anything out of sheer impulse, which usually leads to regrets. However, there were just a few times when my golden rule is broken and I ended up with things that I didn't really want at all in my collection.

Surprisingly, most of the products I regret buying comes from MAC.

Clockwise from top left: ELF Stipple Brush, MAC Blot Powder, MAC Lipglass

1. ELF Stipple Brush

The ELF stipple brush is from the studio line and it retails at US$3 on the ELF website. I bought this product thinking that it would be as great as the powder brush which I totally adore, and also cos I just wanted to buy something during one of those stressed out time of mine. So far, I've tried using it for liquid foundation, blush as well as powder and I have to say that I really didn't enjoy the application of any of them using this brush mainly because the bristles is really scratchy and the application can be uneven at times.

Given how its same series powder brush has performed all this while, I am pretty disappointed with this brush.

2. MAC Blot Powder

I must admit that I bought this product out of the sheer impulse. This is a translucent powder that is great for oil control. I know many actually enjoyed this particular powder due to its shine control ability but I didn't. I use this to set my foundation and for touch ups. I felt that it's a pretty good powder for setting foundation but for touch up(which is the main reason I bought it other than the impulse) it just didn't worked for me at all. The powder made my makeup look really cakey.

Considering its expensive price tag of US$23/SG$40, I would go for the normal blotting paper and my Maybelline Dream Matte powder/MAC MSF anytime over it.

3. MAC Lipglass

Another item I bought out of impulse. I got these 2 lipglass [Tad Saucy (lighter color) and Jest for Fun (darker color)] from the "A Tartan's Tale" 2010 holiday collection. I gave the others away as Christmas gifts and kept this two to try out.

Unfortunately, I am allergy to the formula and it made my lips swell. URGH! Then again, even if I'm not allergy to it, I didn't really enjoy it too due to its sticky texture. It can be a quite annoying feeling. I felt that the only upside of the lipglass is that the color is gorgeous.

Have u bought anything recently out of sheer impulse and regretted it?
